Bassist Jon Brand's voyage through the entertainment world has been quite an
adventure. Passionate about symphonic music and classic rock, Jon was recruited into the Jazz Minors from Churchill High School, know for producing some of the nation's most accomplished string performers. When the band decided it had to learn Tiger Rag Jon had an old Sousaphone thrust upon him (literally). His signature Tuba antics are the stuff of legends.

After leaving The Jazz Minors in 1980, Jon pursued a career in Landscape
Architecture receiving his certification from UC Irvine. Jon's love for music always led him back to the bass and tuba, however and after reestablishing his career in the L.A. area Jon shared his talents with Lauren Chapin, Diana Degarmo, Knott's Berry Farm, The San Diego Padres, The Los Angeles Clippers, Dwight Kennedy, Universal Studios in Osaka, and spent 9 years at Universal Studios in Los Angeles. He can be heard on the sound tracks of "Friends", "The Gilmore Girls", "Devine secrets of the Ya Ya Sisterhood" and
"Festival in Cannes".

Not content to stagnate with merely two successful careers, Jon also pursued acting and sidelining work in such features as Wedding, Crashers, Mars Attacks, Mr. Deeds, The Majestic and My Fellow Americans. His television credits include: ER, The Practice, Ally McBeal, The West Wing, Chicago Hope, and Lois & Clark.

Jon currently resides in Eugene, Oregon. He constantly hones his skills with the Umpqua Chamber Orchestra and a myriad of freelance Tuba, and Bass
gigs. In his spare time, Jon enjoys relaxing with his wife Bonnie and
three daughters Abree, Brittney, and Hannah, pitching in with charity work and taking pucks to his head as the captain of his local hockey team.
